About
NoonAway
Art for the moments you wish would last a little longer.
Noonaway creates hand-painted artwork inspired by open water, afternoon light, movement, and the small pauses that make everyday life feel lighter.
Our collection is made for real rooms and real lives, bringing color, texture, and a relaxed sense of character into the spaces you spend time in.
We believe art should feel personal, not precious.
A painting does not need to make a room feel formal. It can remind you of a swim before sunset, a quiet path by the sea, a game played under open skies, or an afternoon you did not want to end.
That is the feeling behind Noonaway: original artwork with visible texture, expressive color, and enough openness for you to find your own story in it.

Meet the Artists Behind Noonaway
Five distinct perspectives, brought together by a shared interest in color, movement, memory, and the atmosphere of everyday life.

Elise Marlowe
Elise Marlowe grew up on England’s south coast and began her career in stage and spatial design. Her paintings turn quiet rooms, studio objects and changing daylight into restrained compositions where muted color and open space carry equal weight.

Lucien Ward
Raised between France and Britain, Lucien Ward first worked in editorial photography before turning to painting. He builds and erases images in repeated layers, allowing faces and remembered spaces to surface gradually from deep, restrained color.

Owen Mercer
Owen Mercer trained as an architectural model maker before moving to the north Cornish coast. His work translates rock, tide and shifting weather into layered surfaces, combining measured structure with the physical marks of scraping and rebuilding.

Clara Varenne
Clara Varenne began in textile conservation, where she developed an interest in worn surfaces, faded color and the history held by everyday materials. Her paintings draw on family photographs, collected ceramics and the warm, open light of southern France.

Adrian Cole
With a background in printmaking and furniture restoration, Adrian Cole approaches painting through structure and proportion. His compositions reduce buildings, roads and fields to calm arrangements of weight, edge and muted color.
